Jorge Roeder – Bass

I love this little album, Sofia Rei and Jorge Roeder’s ‘Coplas Escondidas’. I happened upon it on Bandcamp and have been enjoying it since. Roeder’s bass is sol well recorded (and played, of course). The tune here is ‘Prestados’ which is an Argentine Tango. I believe it is written by Sofia Rey herself but, in these days of downloads when you haven’t got an album cover to peruse, it is just an educated guess based on a lack of information to the contrary. Not VERY easy but playable with some thought and effort. It is performed alternating between arco and pizzicato but it can be played with just pizzicato playing if you are not a bow player.
