The attached transcription is the tune ‘Azimuth’ from ‘Tricoroll’, a 2011 trio album from Kazumi Watanabe that features Gwizdala alongside drummer Horacio Hernandez. The chart has it’s challenges due to the tempo and a couple of odd phrasing decisions from the bass player but, at the same time, it’s not one of those impossible charts that will cripple mere mortals. Watanabe had player with some of the greatest bass players around including Marcus Miller, Jeff Berlin and Richard Bona so finding your way onto that discography is testament to how highly thought of Gwizdala is.
