Nick Beggs/Steven Wilson – Bass

The discographies are ambiguous. A lot of it sounds like Nick Beggs and it it clearly him on the Chapman Stick sections. There are, nevertheless, sections where there is a bass AND a Stick playing so I guess that is why they both get a credit but I think it is probably mostly Beggs. What do I know?

This is the tune ‘The Holy Drinker’ from the brilliant Steven Wilson album ‘The Raven Who Refused To Sing (And Other Stories)’ – it is over 10 minutes long but there are long passages that are repeated so it is not as heavy as it might otherwise have been. Not too challenging a read albeit there are sections where the tempo vs. the dots ask a little more of you in terms of concentration.
