Composer – J. S. Bach

These Cello Suites are great for working on your reading chops as you end up with a musical experience that is fairly satisfying (isn’t practising Bass a bit boring sometimes?). I have tweaked this to allow for four string players to be able to do (the notes in brackets can be left out without doing much harm). There are some leaps but, as a reading exercise, it has that nice mix of challenging but doable.

The video is one I found on the Tube but he has detuned his Rick to a low D which is why he can play it all #as is’. My transcription is ambiguous for those players who don’t want to detune.
