Anthony Jackson – Bass

Here we are with another complete Anthony Jackson performance. This one is from the 2011 Hiromi Trio Project album, ‘Voice’. The part is fairly accessible, a couple of fills that will test your rhythmic reading but, otherwise, its not too difficult. You will need a low B to pull this one off though. There is one tiny little section where I am not 100% sure of. Jackson occasionally does these little James Jamerson chromatic things on the low B that are really difficult to hear as the overtones are so massive down there that the subtleties of the BCC#D things are very challenging for my old ears to pick out.
