Michael Viñas – Bass

Another track requested through Talkbass. Lots of interesting ideas in terms of how to really play these Latin grooves. The root-five-octave thing is there all the way but there are lots of little nuances that MV uses to stop things becoming too predictable. A challenging chart primarily because of the tempo but the repetition makes it less overwhelming.

From the 1990 album, ‘Live’! by Rubén Blades Y Son del Solar, the track is ‘Cuentas Del Alma’ which translates as ‘Accounts Of The Soul’.
