John Paul Jones – Bass

I can’t believe it has taken me this long to get to this. I used to play in a band called No Quarter which did a couple of Zeppelin covers (Dazed and Confused and Whole Lotta Love, as I recall) but we never did this one. It is not a difficult tune to play as much as it is as difficult part to catch without some means of slowing it down. This is the fantastic John Paul Jones part to the tune Black Dog from the Led Zeppelin album which has no title but is generally known as ‘Led Zeppelin IV’.
