Marc Johnson – Bass

A third tune from the 1987 Bass Desires ‘Second Sight’ album, the tune is called ‘Small Hands’ and is even slower that ‘Sweet Soul’. This is slow and sensitive with very few additional notes other than roots and octaves but it has it’s challenges in terms of maintaining quality of tone and avoiding rushing. I always think it is the mark (no pun intended) of a master to be able to play so little when you are capable of so much.
