Janek Gwizdala – Bass

Another from the Kazumi Watanabe back catalogue. Watanabe has a knack for choosing great rhythm sections and this one is no exception. JG and drummer Horacio Hernandez were the bass and drums behind the 2011 album, ‘Tricoroll’ which ash some great performances. The transcription is the complete bass part for the tune ‘Perfect Water’. Not a massive challenge (which was why I wanted to post it) and the only bit to watch out for is the four against three bit that appears across two bars during the guitar solo (you’ll see it). This is a simple trick once you can ‘feel it’ but to start it mid-bar takes a bit of discipline and trust in your drummer.
