J.S. Bach – Bass
I go back to these every now and then for reading practice and usually stay on the the first two suites as the later ones are not very ‘electric bass friendly’. I came across this one today that I must have tried before but couldn’t remember it. It has some challenging jumps so I thought I would post for those who like these classical things and haven’t got access to the full set of suites (I recommend them to everyone – they are fairly easy to get hold of). There is only a couple of notes that require you to go below the low E (a couple of Ebs and a low C).
The video is a guy called Mario D’Amato. He plays it an octave higher than I have written it in my version but that’s the good thing about practice pieces. You can do what you like with them as long as you are learning something.
