Victor Wooten – Bass

I am pretty sure this is my first Victor Wooten transcription. I am not a fan of transcribing slap stuff as you have to put text above each letter to show whether a note is slapped or popped or double thumbed etc and it is tiresome beyond belief but this one was requested on a Facebook Bass Transcription page and, when I listened to it, it didn’t have any slapping so I thought I would give it a go. There are a lot of ghost notes in here so there is a lot to contend with but it’s great fun and, unlike a lot of Wooten, is playable even if you haven’t got his chops.

This is the tune ‘Bil Mon’ from the 2003 Bela Fleck and The Flecktones album, ‘Little Worlds’. I have no idea what ‘Bil Mon’ actually means.
