Mike Rutherford – Bass

In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of this iconic album, this is the complete Mike Rutherford bass part for the title track of the Genesis classic ‘The Lamb lies Down On Broadway’. These recordings are tougher than they first appear and it is pertinent to point out that this is played with a pick. I am not sure what bass it was played on but it has that growl that we often associate with Rickenbackers. Could it be the famous Shergold double-neck? I am sure someone somewhere will know.
