Bass Player: Martin Brierley

Another tune from the 1975 Greenslade album, ‘Time and Tide’.  This was the fourth studio album by the band and the only recording they did with Brierley on bass. The massive sounding bass in question is reportedly a Rickenbacker similar to the one with which Chris Squire achieved his iconic sound with another great Prog Rock band, Yes. The bass parts recorded by Brierley on this album are not difficult to play or read but they still sound wonderful. The transcription here is the tune ‘The Ass’s Ears’.
