Bass Player: Kevin Fitzgerald/Mac Hines

Panoply is a highly original instrumental progressive music project which draws on Classical, Jazz and Rock influences. Panoply creates high quality, melodic, powerful, emotional and intelligent music for those seeking something outside of the musical mainstream. The compositional emphasis is on complex arrangements mixed with strong melodies arriving at serious yet accessible pieces.

The band is the brainchild of Essex composer/guitarist Kevin Fitzgerald who has recorded three albums under the Panoply title; A Walk In The Park (2018), Transcript (2019) and First Inversion (2021). Kevin is currently working on taking the music to a live audience and, in the meantime, here is a transcription of the bass part to the track ‘State Of Disarray’ from the first album, ‘A Walk In The Park’. The main theme features a repeating bass line underpinned by a sequencer but there is a complex passage that alternates bars of 4:4 and 9:8 that will need some individual attention before a performance is possible.
