Bass Player: Anthony Jackson

A final chart from the 1978 Al Di Meola album, ‘Casino’, this is a full transcription of the Anthony Jackson bass part to the Chick Corea tune, ‘Señor Mouse’. Some very challenging reading here. The whole chart is in 16th notes and there are two solo sections that are improvised so no repeated phrases. There is also a bridge section where the phrases cross bars in all sorts of interesting ways which means the reader cannot rely on hearing the ‘one’ in the way that s/he does on most charts.
