Bass Player: John Paul Jones
John Paul Jones was a massively important part of the Led Zeppelin story due to the fact that he could function not only as a bass player for the band but also as a keyboard player, second guitarist/madolin player and orchestrator. A significant section of the Zeppelin catalogue would have sounded very different without Jones’s contribution.
The transcription features JPJ’s bass part for the tune ‘Ramble On’ from the 1969 Zeppelin LP ‘Led Zeppelin II’. There are a lot of James Jamerson influences in there and a classic Fender Precision bass sound.
