No Easy Way – Gillan

John McCoy – Bass

known for his work with Ian Gillan and Mammoth as well as numerous other bands and sessions since the late 1960s. He also played in British rock trio Guy McCoy Torme with former Gillan/Ozzy Osbourne guitarist Bernie Torme and Bruce Dickinson drummer Robin Guy. Along with guitarist Vic Elmes and ZZebra colleague Liam Genockey on drums, McCoy can also be heard playing in the intro and end titles theme of the 1970s cult TV series ‘Space 1999’.

I am not 100% sure but I think Gillan were the first band I ever saw live (it may have been The Enid but it is lost in the mists of time). It was on the tour for the album this track comes off; ‘Glory Road’ (1980). The track is called ‘No Easy Way’ and I have put it on here so that there is something for the Aging Rockers to get to grips with! It’s very easy (but don’t tell McCoy that I said that).
