John Lodge – Bass

A special request, this is one of those songs that we have all heard a million times, probably like on some level or other, even if we are not fans of The Moody Blues etc. I enjoyed going through this with a fine tooth comb as there are some interesting elements to it creatively. I never really thought about the time signature until I started writing it out; the tune is in 6:8 and there are some nice little details in there that make the chart a little more challenging to read that one would expect.

John Charles Lodge (born 20 July 1943) is an English musician, best known as bass guitarist, co-lead vocalist, and songwriter of the longstanding Rock band The Moody Blues. He has also worked as a record producer and has collaborated with other musicians outside the band.
