Ken Baldock – Bass

Sometimes you just have to go where your heart tells you to go. One of the things I love about Mr. Benn is that the credits include the names of the musicians who played on the music (not only the main theme but all of the incidental music throughout each episode). I am not sure if this little gem ever made it’s way overseas but it was one of my favourite tv series’ when I was a kid. I remembered it today and also that I did some gigs once with a vibes player called Alan Graham who played the main theme for ‘Play School’ – he was one of Jonathan Cohen’s sidemen.

Ken Baldock was one of the guys and I know he recorded with Al Haig, Peter King, Alan Ganley and Art Themen (who I have played with a couple of times also – I also played with Peter King once – I was WAAAAY out of my depth with PK but Art Themen was a gentleman). Anyway, here we are. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy.
