Bass Player: Jeff Berlin

This is the complete bass performance, including the solo, from the tune ‘Johnny Joker’ from the 1997 Jeff Berlin CD ‘Taking Notes’. The interesting thing about this transcription is that the harmony slips back and forth between keys a semi tone apart so the tune is impossible to bust but, when reading the dots, it is actually quite easy to read the walking bass line and make all the changes (the solo is a different kettle of fish, however, so ‘don’t get cocky, kid’).
