Bass Player: Andy West

Another transcription from the bass of Andy West from the legendary Dixie Dregs. The Dixie Dregs is an American instrumental Rock band from Augusta, Georgia, that formed in 1970.  West was part of the band that released six studio albums before disbanding in 1983. The band’s instrumental music fuses elements of rock, jazz, country, and classical music. Andy West still performs as a bass player but his ‘day job’ is in IT.

This transcription features West’s faux-Classical part to the tune ‘Hereafter’ from the band’s album ‘Night Of The Living Dregs’. Not radically difficult to play but there are a lot of changing time signatures and odd individual bar lengths to watch out for.
