Jeff Berlin – Bass

A stonking album from 2005 featuring Dennis Chambers, Jeff Berlin, Dregs keyboard player T. Lavitz and guitarist David Fiuczynski. The record is chock full of that tight fusion that a lot of players were doing around this time and the chart evidences the intensity of the performance. It’s not as hard to play as it first sounds but the tempo makes it almost impossible to read at tempo but I put this together for my own interest to see what I could find out about these kinds of grooves. Probably a study piece rather than a readable chart but lots of things to think about.

The album is called ‘Boston T Party’ and the track ‘(Great) Ball Of Issue’.
