Empty Rooms – Gary Moore

Mo Foster – Bass

I just did this because I am struggling with the heavy transcriptions at the moment so wanted something relatively easy to keep things moving. My kid brother was a massive Gary Moore fan (as was I, come to think of it) and we saw him live several times between us. I recall it was usually Bob Daisley or Neil Murray on bass when we saw him but Mo Foster was one of THE session guys during this era so it is no surprise that it was Foster on the ‘Victims Of The Future’ album (1983). The core bass part is pretty much standard Rock ballad fare but there is a fretless section in the middle that has Foster’s rich, resonant sound all over it!

An easy one for the new readers trying to find their way around the disciplines of focussing on the dost, this is the complete part for Moore’s hit, ‘Empty Rooms’.
