Cool Weasel Boogie – Chick Corea

Bass Player: John Patitucci

When the Chick Corea Elektric Band’s eponymous debut was released in 1986 and brough the attention of the world to a new voice on the electric and double bass, Mr. John Patitucci. Patitucci blew everyone’s minds with his chops on the legendary ‘Go A Match’? but the tune that is transcribed here is a much easier chart to perform. The tune is a 20-bar chrous repeated with minimal variation. The parts are realtivelyu easly to read (watch the syncopation) and, once you have the rhythm of the first four bars, you have pretty much got the whole thing. The tune benefits from a superb guitar solo from the lesser known guitarist Carlos Rios. The tune is called ‘Cool Weasel Boogie’.
