Bass Player: Candleliight Vigil

A simple arco part from the legendary Dave Holland. Holland has had a stellar career playing with everyone from Miles Davis to Chick Corea, Anthony Braxton, Chris Potter, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Gary Burton…the list really is endless. A master improvisor, this is a through written part which Holland plays arco throughout. The chart incorrectly credits the composition to Holland but it is, in fact, written by vibist Stve Nelson. The tune is ‘Candlelight Vigil’ from the Dave Holland Quintet album, ‘Prime Directive’ (1999).
