Bass Player: Paul Socolow

Paul Socolow is not a name that many have heard of outside of the US but he has an impressive CV that includes guitarist Leni Stern, flautist Herbe Mann and pianist Manfredo Fest. It is a track from the 1987 Fest CD ‘Braziliana’ that features in the transcription here. ‘Brazilian DOrian Dream’ is based around a one bar sixtteenth note grove which is tough to read in real time but, once you have it, it’s pretty much the same thing all the way home. The YouTube link is actually the whole ‘Braziliana’ CD but the transcribed tune is the first track on the album so your luck is in.
