Bass Player: J Clifton Mayhugh

This one came in as a request on Talkbass and Bilbo had not heard the track before (nor heard of the bass player). It is a track called ‘Adidas In Heat’ from the Adrian Belew album ‘Lone Rhino’. A funky little tune with some great lines and that wonderful ‘left field’ approach that defined Belew’s work with King Crimson.

J CLifton Mayhugh went on to …. we have no idea. He was clearly a highly respected player and continued to work as a musician but the internet is all but silent on him. It is thought that he has retired and is no longer performaning but who knows?
