Bass Player: Gerrit-Jan Bloemink

Silhouette are a Dutch Prog rock band that came into existence in 2005, started by a couple of friends with passion for progressive rock music. At that time, the band consisted of Brian de Graeve (vocals and guitars), Jos Uffing (vocals and drums), Gerrit Jan Bloemink (bass guitar), and Erik Laan vocals and Keyboards).

In 2012 Silhouette released their third album Across the Rubicon and it is the title track from that record that features in this transcription. GJ is no longer in the band having left a few years ago. To be fair, we are not entirely sure that the attached photograph is actually him as we have no way of checking (he no longer features on the band’s website). The reason this transcription is included is not to showcase Bloemink’s playing but because the dots are really easy to read and not everyone who uses this site is able to meet the challenges of all the Jeff Berlin charts. ‘Across The Rubicon’ is here so new readers can get a few easy wins under their belts early on.
