Bass Player: John Giblin

Another lovely John Giblin part from the 1981 Phil Collins solo album ‘Face Value’. A simple root note part in the main but with some sweet little fills. Bilbo says, ‘I remember when this album came out and the Genesis fans were outraged at the Motown, Funk and balld influences that Collins was exploring. Nearly fourty years on, it has stood the test of time and is a strong album’. The transcription is for the song ‘I’m Not Moving’, a humourous little tune in which the bass part fits prefectly. Relatively easy read but watch the phrasing.
