Tony Levin – Bass
A Talkbass user asked if I could post some Tony Levin (I couldn’t believe I hadn’t already) so I looked for a Levin discography to see what he had done (I was never going to do ‘Sledgehammer – there are a million versions of that out there already). I also wanted to avoid any Chapman Stick. Either way, whilst trawling through the list, I came across this. I had never known that it was Levin on this track. Steve Gadd I knew. But, Levin? That was a nice surprise.
Paul Simon’s ’50 Ways To Leave Your Lover’ from his 1975 album, ‘Still Crazy After All These Years’. It took me 10 minutes to transcribe this one. A very easy read.
